Introduction

Before its renovation, the building facade appeared outdated, making the entire mall seem uninviting and devoid of commercial appeal. The architect incorporated a modern aesthetic inspired by the movement of water, adding metal fins to the façade and introducing vertical textures to enhance the look of the mall.

After comprehensive façade studies, we mounted color-changing LED spotlights in between these fins to emphasize this façade feature in a way to mimic the movement and rhythm of the water. With programmed lighting cues, we created various looks and brought brand new images for the building with gradually changing colors in the evening or on special occasions. Blue is the main color to symbolize the ocean. With this coherent architecture and lighting design, we brought commercial vitality back and created a new landmark in the city.
